Russia-Ukraine war
Russia and Ukraine entered a war on 24 February 2024 when Ukraine, despite several warnings from Russia, decided to side with the NATO nations. While Ukraine calls it a forceful invasion that repressed their sovereignty, according to Russia, the move was a warranted action to ensure the safety and security of Russia and the Crimean peninsula. Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine claims sovereign rights to Crimea and has promised to reclaim it which was forcefully invaded and occupied by Russia in the year 2014. Since then, the topic of Russia and Ukraine had become an international news.

Response by Russia on Sevastopol attack
Razvozhayev informed the media that the Russian military has managed to destroy a Ukrainian surface sea drone which had attempted to attack Sevastopol harbour. It had also dropped down another drone, preventing the damage it could have inflicted on the people. Sevastopol is not new to the aerial attacks by Ukraine. Ukraine has ceased to openly claim its responsibility for the attacks in a while but has rather stated that any attacks in response to the Russian aggression are their rights.
It is interesting to note that prior to the day of the drone attack, the city of Uman was invaded in which Russian missiles hit the residential quarters, killing 25 people. At the onset of this attack, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy requested his international allies to provide him with superior air defences, including fighter jets. In a video message on Friday, he stated that anything that must be done to defend the people and land of Ukraine will be done.
