For unavoidable reasons, the “Shaakuntalam” movie, which stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and was supposed to be released on November 4th, 2022, will not be released on that date. The film Shaakuntalam is a multilingual mythological movie. The same on Thursday, the release date of the movie has been postponed indefinitely.
The decision came from the production house of the movie- Sri Venkateshwara creations. The postponement of the film was announced through the official Twitter account of the production house. The Hyderabad-based production team has announced the postponement of the film because they want the audience to experience the 3D format of the film. The production team also wants the audience to indulge and immerse themselves in the world of Shaakuntalam and its world. For this, the #D format will work the best. As the production team wants to release the movie in the 3D format, the already announced release date, which is the 4th of November, has to be canceled for an indefinite period of time.
Sri Venkateshwara creations would be announcing the new release date soon through their social media handles. Shaakuntalam is directed by Gunashekhar. The film Shaakuntalam is based on Kalidas’s play (originally written in Sanskrit by Kalidas) Abhigyan Shaakuntalam. When the poster and teaser were released to the public, the public gave a very positive response. However, looking at the positive response from the public, they (the production house and director) wanted to do something big by bringing the 3D version of the movie with the new release date.
According to an official statement, “We aim to give a bigger experience with Shaakuntalam and immerse you in the world of Shaakuntalam, for which we as a team felt 3D would be a brilliant way. To facilitate this, we would be taking some time to put forth and so, we will be unable to meter the earlier announced date of release…”. The production team thanked the audience for their support. The team will be announcing a new release date soon
Shaakuntalam will be the love story between Shakuntala and King Dushyant. The story is taken from Mahabharat. Shakuntala will be played by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Dev Mohan will be portraying King Dushyant. Other famous roles in this movie include Sachin Khedkar, Aditi Balan, Gautami, and Prakash Raj. Kabir Bedi, Dr. M.Mohan Babu, Madhubala, Ananya Nagalla, and Jishu Sengupta in their respective roles. Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha will be making her debut in her acting career with Shaakuntalam. The movie will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.
