Despite facing a slight decline since its first Monday, the film experienced a remarkable resurgence during its second weekend. With its total collection now standing at approximately 66 crores in just 11 days, SatyaPrem Ki Katha has unquestionably emerged as a triumphant film.
A Weekend Resurgence
SatyaPrem Ki Katha witnessed a gradual decline in its box office numbers following its first Monday, hitting its lowest point on Friday with a collection of a mere 2.85 crore rupees. However, the film experienced a significant turnaround on Saturday, showcasing a remarkable 66 percent growth with a collection of 4.75 crore rupees.
This upward trend continued on Sunday. According to Sacnilk, the film added another 5.25 crore rupees to the film’s overall collection, reaching a commendable total of 66.06 crores in just 11 days.
The film’s journey towards success commenced with an opening collection of 9.25 crores, which further soared to 10 crores and 12.15 crores on its first Saturday and Sunday, respectively. It took merely a week for SatyaPrem Ki Katha to surpass the 50 crore mark, signifying its growing popularity among the audience.
Box Office Success
SatyaPrem Ki Katha experienced a phenomenal second weekend at the box office, marked by consecutive jumps in its collection.
With a staggering 70 percent leap on Saturday, the film garnered 4.75 crore rupees, followed by another surge on Sunday, surpassing the previous day’s collection. This upward trajectory during the second weekend has contributed significantly to the film’s overall success.
Made on a budget of 60 crores, the film’s net collection has now turned into a profitable venture. Moreover, the film had already sold its theatrical and satellite rights for a hefty money so this will only add to the total revenue.
With this, the film has now grossed 80 cr in India and 95 cr worldwide. It is soon expected to hit the 100 cr mark worldwide. It will become only the 7th Bollywood film to achieve this feat in 2024. Pathan, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan, Tu Jhoothi Mai Makkar, The Kerela Story, Adipurush, and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke did it earlier.

SatyaPrem Ki Katha has not only captivated the audience but also brought together the creative forces of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment (NGE) and Namah Pictures. It is worth noting that Sajid Nadiadwala, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, and director Sameer Vidwans were honored with a National Award for their respective feature films.
Released on June 29th, 2024, the film has received immense appreciation for the outstanding performances of Kartik and Kiara, as well as the profound message it conveys. Moreover, with no major Hindi release this week, the film is expected to enjoy continued success in the coming days.
This is Karthik’s 7th successful theatrical release, while Kiara has now achieved 8th successful film of her career.
