Highlights of the event Highlights of Today’s Demolition of the Noida Supertech Twin Towers: A nineyear court fight came to an end Monday with the demolition of the illegitimate Supertech Twin Towers in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Infused with 3,700 kg of explosives, the roughly 100-meter-tall towers which were higher than Delhi’s famous Qutub Minarfell like a house of cards in less than 9 seconds. The Apex and Ceyane buildings, which were taller than Delhi’s Qutub Minar, contained 915 apartments, 21 stores, and 2 basements.Just fifteen minutes after the destruction, the NoidaGreater Noida Expressway was shut down before traffic could restart. For the demolition, about 5,000 residents of the nearby societies, ATS Greens Village and Emerald Court, had to leave their apartments. They can begin returning at 6:30 PM. The delivery of power and cooking gas has been resumed. According to Ritu Maheshwari, CEO of Noida, there hasn’t been any harm done to any housing communities. Around the demolition site and the NoidaGreater Noida Expressway, around 500 police officers and traffic enforcement officers were stationed. Drones are not allowed to fly in the area over Noida.
