Happy 29th anniversary Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan: here is a sweet story about their honeymoon.
On October 25, 1991, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri tied the knot, and their relationship has remained strong for over three-quarters of a century. They have a son named Aryan, a daughter named Suhana, and a son named Abram.
Gauri Khan is an accomplished interior designer who has her own thriving company, Gauri Khan Designs. She is getting ready to publish her first book, which will be a coffee table book and will be provisionally named My Life in Design.
The book, which is scheduled to come out the following year, will trace her journey to become an interior designer and will include photographs of her work, family, and home that have never been published before.
On Sunday, the 29th anniversary of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s marriage will be celebrated. Gauri is an interior designer, while Shah Rukh is an actor and known as the king of romance too.
The fact that they have managed to maintain such a rock-solid marriage despite the constant scrutiny of the media and the grueling schedules of their filming commitments is evidence that romantic love is still alive and well.
On the occasion of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri’s wedding anniversary, we are sharing the endearing tale of how he duped her into spending her honeymoon in Darjeeling by telling her that they would be going to Paris instead.
At the Hindustan Times Most Stylish 2019 event, Shah Rukh khan was shown a picture from his honeymoon, and throughout the course of the event, he disclosed how he had “fooled” Gauri.
“When I got married, Gauri was from a middle-class family and rather wealthy, whereas I came from a very impoverished family. Accordingly, I had told her that once we were married, ‘I’ll take you to Paris, and I’ll show you the Eiffel Tower.’
This is something that everyone does, so it’s not unusual. But it was a lie about everything because I didn’t have the money and I didn’t have the flight tickets, but I managed to convince her nevertheless. He cracked a joke by saying, “I tricked her into thinking I was taking her to Paris, but instead I took her to Darjeeling.”
When they were both still in their teens, Shah Rukh Khan first saw Gauri at a party, and the two instantly fell in love with one other. They went their ways for a short while as a result of his possessive behavior, and she went to spend her vacation in Mumbai. Because he knew that she enjoyed swimming, he brought his buddies with him when he moved to the city in an attempt to win her back.
They searched every beach in the area for her because he was certain that she would be there. He was quite fortunate in that he was able to locate her at the very last beach that he visited, and the two of them shared a dramatic reconnection.
How their story went
Since Fauji and Circus, Shah Rukh Khan has had star attraction. After his mother died in April 1991, SRK moved to Mumbai to pursue acting. Shah Rukh khan transfer to Mumbai would have separated him from Gauri. Gauri was hesitant about Shah Rukh joining the film industry after a few years together, so he devised a strategy.
Gauri was able to understand that it would be difficult for them to sustain their connection due to the resistance of her parents and the numerous unknown variables that may become an impediment following his transfer to Mumbai. Gauri also saw that it was possible that their relationship could end due to the move.
Therefore, she decided wed him. She made the following statement: “If I hadn’t married him at that moment. If I had known, I never would have married him. Gauri’s parents gave their OK for her to marry Shah Rukh after she informed them of her intention to go to Mumbai with him.
In The End
On October 25, 1991, the pair ultimately tied the knot, which was the seventh anniversary of the first time they had spoken to one another. Gauri was just 21 years old and Shah Rukh was 26 years old when the event took place. Their marriage was officially recorded in the court records, and then they had a conventional Hindu wedding.
