Netflix Indian Matchmaking is set to return for a second season shortly, and the streaming service has released a promotional video that has gotten a lot of attention. From August 10, Sima Taparia will return for the “Indian Matchmaking”.
Sima Taparia (From Mumbai) has returned. On Tuesday, Netflix released a trailer for the second season of the successful pandemic-era reality show Indian Matchmaking. Although no release date has been set, the streaming service has stated that the new season will be available soon.
Indian Matchmaking was centered on a Mumbai-based matchmaker who traveled the world matching singles. She kept a tangible ledger with her database of qualified candidates and used old-school tactics like ‘kundalis’ and good looks to determine a couple’s compatibility.
The show, and Sima Aunty, as she was affectionately called, became a hit at a period when people were cooped up at home and bored.
The new video doesn’t appear to contain any footage from the upcoming season; instead, it’s dominated by scenes from the first season and riddled with Sima Aunty’s one-liners, which have now become meme gold.

Netflix stated in all caps on Instagram when sharing the trailer. “Season 2 of Indian Matchmaking is coming soon!”
