“He should first know who dared to break the country”
SMRITI IRANI SHOWS DISMAY TOWARDS RAHUL GANDHI.
Political warfare continues to arise as at the BJP’s “Jana Spandana” event honouring the ruling party’s three years in power in Karnataka, where Smriti Irani was speaking to a crowd .
The Union minister attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” saying that he should first know who dared to split the country and that he was travelling with individuals who screamed “anti-India” slogans, alluding subtly to Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar.
“Rahul Gandhi is working to bring India together, but he must first address the question of who tried to divide it. You let someone join your party who yelled “Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Insha Allah,” Irani said Saturday while attending the BJP’s “Jana Spandana” function in Doddaballapur.
Irani added that she was astounded by Gandhi’s criticism of the Indian state’s structure and current status.
“You are aware of the responsibilities of the CBI, ED, and Income Tax divisions. Thus, whereas previously, we were engaged in political party conflict. There is no longer a conflict” I’m bringing this accusation of sedition with the utmost seriousness. Rahul Gandhi’s claim that he is fighting the Indian state astounds me. You have attacked India with a war.”
The Union minister claimed that because the Congress failed to make a statement in support of the action, the party could not “digest” the statue of legendary independence warrior Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose being unveiled at New Delhi’s “Kartavya Path.”
HISTORY OF SMRITI IRANI AND RAHUL GANGHI DISPUTE
Smriti Irani competed against Rahul Gandhi in the 2014 general elections.
Rahul Gandhi was the two-term incumbent MP from Amethi, which had elected numerous members of his family to the Lok Sabha. Irani fought Rahul Gandhi hard, but he ultimately prevailed in the polls. Irani received 3,00,748 votes with 34.38% of the vote, while Rahul Gandhi received 4,08,651 votes with 46.71% of the vote.
Rahul Gandhi received 4,64,195 votes in the 2009 election, with a 71.78% vote share. Irani therefore put up a valiant fight against the crown prince despite losing.
Irani put in a lot of effort over the following five years, and when she faced Rahul Gandhi in Amethi again that year, she had raised both the number of votes cast and the vote share. Rahul Gandhi received 4,13,394 votes, or 43.84% of the vote, compared to Irani’s 4,68,514, or 49.71%.
Rahul Gandhi’s vote percentage had decreased. Rahul Gandhi chose the second “safe seat” of Wayanad in Kerala to run for office because, deep down, he knew he was losing Amethi. Yes, Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi in the family stronghold after he campaigned in two constituencies.
WHAT IS THE BHARAT JODO TOUR?
While campaigning from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Rahul Gandhi and the about 230 Congress “pad-yatris” who are taking part in the party’s ambitious “Bharat Jodo Yatra” will spend the evenings in 60 containers mounted on trucks.
The 3,570-kilometer-long yatra also raises awareness of India’s unemployment, inflation issues, and political centralization while attempting to combat the “climate of hate” that is pervasive there. In around five months, the journey will pass through 12 states and two Union Territories.
The party has referred to the march as its largest mass-contact effort since Independence and a “turning point” in India’s political history ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.Gandhi and other marchers anticipate walking 22 to 23 kilometres every day, Gandhi will lead two groups of Congress members and leaders who will walk every day between 7 am and 6:30 pm.
Before ending the march in Srinagar, they would travel through Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Nilambur, Mysuru, Bellary, Raichur, Vikarabad, Nanded, Jalgaon, Indore, Kota, Dausa, Alwar, Bulandshahr, Delhi, Ambala, Pathankot, and Jammu.
RAHUL GANDHI JIBES BACK AT OPPOSITION
Gandhi asserted during his speech that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the Bharatiya Janata Party are attacking India and dividing the nation along religious and linguistic lines.
He added that the Narendra Modi-led Central government is responsible for the biggest economic catastrophe India has ever experienced.
Gandhi had declared that the party had no choice but to approach the populace directly and inform them of the circumstances in the nation.
He had remarked at a gathering in Delhi that “the government has closed all paths for us.” “There is no Parliamentary middle. Speakers from the Congress, the opposition, and the general public are not permitted in Parliament.
