Sonali Phogat was a politician who belonged to the current ruling party, BJP. She was declared dead preceded by mysteriously being killed on 23rd August in a restaurant in Goa. Sonali Phogat was taken to the hospital. She was declared dead by the doctor. To date, Sonali Phogat’s PA Sudhir Sangwan and 5 others have been arrested. In the mysterious murder case of Sonali Phogat, the Government of Goa has taken a huge decision. The Goa government has handed over the case to the CBI. CBI will further investigate this matter. Initially, the reason for death was said to be a heart attack. However, the family members of Sonali Phogat were not satisfied with the results and found something suspicious with the results. With further investigation taking place, it was later found that it was a drug overdose that led to her death. There was also a video of Sonali which went viral, where she was partying and how she was forcibly drugged by a person.
Soon, Goa police filed a murder case. A report was released sooner which suggested that there was a blunt injury near her head. According to the sources from ANI, on Sunday, it was officially announced by Manohar Lal Khatter, that the case would be handed over to the CBI probe. If the results are found unsatisfactory by the family members, the case would be handed over to CBI for further inquiry
In a Khap Panchayat organized in Haryana, Yashodhara Phogat daughter of Sonali Phogat announced that she has demanded a CBI inquiry for her mother from the Prime minister, Narendra Modi. Though, no assurance has been received from the government.
According to some sources, Sonali Phogat was partying at Kalirja restaurant in Goa. where she was drugged to death. 2 Drug dealers and one of the restaurant authorities have been arrested in this case.
