A spy has claimed that Putin is suffering from Cancer and slowly losing his eyesight, he may not live more than 3 years.
Since the war started many people have pointed out that all may not be well with Mr. Putin. It was reported by some media agencies that Putin’s hand was ‘Shaking uncontrollably’ during a meeting with the Belarusian president. However, a careful watch of the video reveals that the visuals of his hand were not enough to reach a serious conclusion.
Recently, reports also suggested that he went through a surgery, putting former FSB chief Nikolai Patrushev in the charge while he was absent. However, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov denied any allegation of the president is ill, saying that there were no signs of any ailment.
The FSB official said, “We are told he is suffering from headaches and when he appears on TV, he needs pieces of paper with everything written in huge letters to read what he is going to say. They are so big each page can only hold a couple of sentences. His eyesight is seriously worsening.”
This information has come through a secret message which was delivered to an FSB defector Boris Karpichkov, who is in hiding in Britain. It talks about how Putin has been giving his staff a hard time. Furthermore, it discussed his stubbornness about not wearing glasses because it would make him look weak.
Could this be a war gimmick?
Russia and Ukraine are involved in a full-fledged war and wars are fought on many fronts. Both sides are trying to mould public opinion in their favour. Public opinion is one of the most valuable booties of war. One must win the war and public opinion. In the case of Russia Ukraine war, reports of Putin’s ailment may bring hope to the people of Ukraine and it would make it easy for countries like the United States to send aid money as democracies need the support of their populace to support war efforts in other countries.
It is feasible that speculations about Putin’s health issue could be total propaganda, on the other hand, there is no good evidence to deny all these speculations too. One must keep their mind open until there is conclusive evidence.
If true, what could be Russia’s fate?
Russia is a former superpower and always looking back at its glorious past. Putin reminisces about a powerful Russia and to fulfil that goal he has invaded a sovereign nation.
Putin has been in power since 2000 and he has established total control over the executive in the last few years. All critics of Mr. Putin are silenced. The absence of Putin from the high office after so many years may result in a power-grabbing competition, leading to chaos and instability.
Western powers will view this as an opportunity to put someone in the office who is favourable to them. In the case of not being able to do that they might fuel unrest in the country and Russian institutions have become weaker in the presence of a strong leader like Putin and may not be able to handle a power grab or a corrupt leader.
Moreover, Russia has been involved in a war with Ukraine and it is in the interest of the state that Putin lives until the dark clouds are over. A new leader would be able to lead Russia better in a relatively peaceful time. States function with very delicate balance and unthoughtful decisions can take them to destruction. It is high time to realise for Russian leadership and the people that their country has immense potential, it has a powerful military, a large repository of natural gas, the largest landmass and on top of that a hardworking population, which can realize the Russian dream, not through the means of war and expansion but rather through development and invention.
