HYDERABAD: Ahead of Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Telangana today, state Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s son, KT Rama Rao or KTR, has penned an open letter to the top BJP leader on the “injustice” his party has committed against the southern state.
In the letter, KTR, the Working President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, accused the BJP of inciting hate among the Telangana populace. He claimed that the BJP had not kept a single promise made to Telangana, but had met every demand of BJP-ruled states such as Gujarat.Â
The TRS representative posed 27 questions to the BJP politician on the step-motherly treatment of Telangana by the BJP-led Central government and dared him to answer them during his address at the public gathering if he was truly committed to Telangana. He stated, “We shall fight for the rights of our people & demand a fair share under the AP Reorganization Act.”
The 27 questions posed by the Telangana leader covered topics such as the BJP’s ignorance of promises made under the AP Reorganization Act, the lack of a central educational institution or medical college in Telangana, and the unfulfilled election promise of national status for an irrigation project made by the late BJP leader Sushma Swaraj.
KTR questioned Shah over the distribution of central funding to Telangana during the previous eight years. Shah and the BJP, have not responded to KTR’s open letter.Â
Shah will launch the National Cyber Forensic Laboratory (NCFL) and speak at a public gathering on the final day of the BJP’s month-long ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’ Phase-2 in Telangana during his one-day visit to the state.
The second part of the “Praja Sangrama Yatra” of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) began last month on the occasion of Dr. BR Ambedkar Jayanthi.
The first part of the ‘yatra’ spanned 36 days through 19 Assembly seats in eight districts, beginning and ending in Hyderabad and passing via Rangareddy, Vikareddy, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Sircilla, and Siddipet.
