50 properties including the educational institution of Telangana labor minister Malla Reddy and his son-in-law minister M Rajashekhar Reddy have been raided by Income Tax officials over alleged tax evasion claims.
These searches took place on Wednesday morning and covered TRS Minister’s house at Palm Meadows, Kompally, Hyderabad. TRS minister’s sons Mahendra and Bhadra’s offices and homes and his son-in-law.
Malla Reddy furiously said, “Am I doing hawala business?” With KCR’s blessings, we serve people. Is it wrong? The BJP and the Modi government are deploying IT officers to 50 different places and houses to create terror. “My elder son is in pain with the CRPF’s beatings.”

IT raids at Telangana Minister’s residence in Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao spoke to the ministers, Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav (aide of a minister), who was grilled by IT officials and assured them of every possible legal help.
Telangana Chief Minister said, “Don’t get jittery about the raids, which are part of BJP’s vendetta politics. We had predicted this long ago. The Centre is trying to terrorize us. CBI, ED, and IT raids. We will definitely counter this and take legal recourse.”
Along with Malla Reddy, his brother Gopal’s properties have also been probed. According to the information, Rs 4 crores have been seized from raids till now. As per the information, Malla Reddy’s son Mahendra was taken to the hospital after he complained of illness in the morning on Wednesday.
IT officials checked the record of fees and cash payments of Malla Reddy and their family-run chain of engineering, medical and other colleges.
