Two men, including the son of a municipal ward councilor and TRS leader, were arrested by Kodad Police for kidnapping, drugging, and repeatedly gang-raping a woman for three days.
A 20-year-old woman, allegedly, was confined, drugged, and gang-raped multiple times for three days in Telangana. Kodad Police have arrested the two men, including a politician’s son (TRS) involved in the crime. The two accused men were booked based on the complaint lodged by the victim herself.
On Monday, the matter came to light when the survivor approached the police with multiple injuries. One of the arrested has been identified as Sheik Ghouse Pasha, son of municipal ward councilor and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) member Mohd Ghouse Pasha and his friend Sai Kiran Reddy. On April 15, Friday night, around 9:30 pm, the incident happened and continued till April 17, Sunday night.
The victim knew Sai Kiran Reddy, who asked her to visit his residence under the pretext of work. Instead, she was offered a cold drink laced with drugs, following which both men held her captive, raped and assaulted her multiple times, so she lost her consciousness. When she regained her sense, she escaped the place, returned home, and narrated the ordeal to her mother. Later, the family filed a complaint, and the police registered a case under various IPC sections for the TRS suspect.
Kodad Circle Police and Investigation Officer (IO), Narasimha Rao, in a statement to local media, said, “We have sent the survivor for a medical examination, and two persons are being inquired into the matter. After the completion of the same, we will divulge further details.”
The victim’s mother claimed that the family is facing life threats for registering the case against the two men. After the victim’s medical examination, she was admitted to the hospital for further treatment. The mobile phones of both the accused have also been seized, and the Kodad police are quizzing both.
