On November 29, Telangana police blocked YSR Telangana leader YS Sharmila’s convoy outside Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s residence. The police towed her car while she was sitting inside it, protesting against Telangana Chief Minister.
This incident took place hours after she was arrested during her Praja Prasthanam Padayatra (foot march) in Telangana.
According to the information, YS Sharmila said that she has been on a walkathon to point out problems of people and the failed commitments of the Telangana Chief Minister. They wanted to arrest her during the yatra.
YS Sharmila said, “I have been on a walkathon to highlight the issues of people and the failed promises of Chief Minister KCR. Not the Congress nor the BJP cares about the people of Telangana. They planned to stop me from the yatra. They want to arrest me to stop my ongoing yatra. Shameless violence took place yesterday. They intentionally burnt the bus yesterday. The Chief Minister is the biggest ‘Gunda’. Let me tell you, I will continue with my yatra if I won’t get arrested. I am going through torture by the TRS gundas. My arrest is planned by TRS, they are doing it purposely.”

YS Sharmila arrested
YSR Telangana party president YS Sharmila was arrested on Monday during her Padyatra near Lingagiri village under Chennaropeta Mandal, Warangal district, Telangana. She was arrested based on complaints that were made by the TRS leaders.
YS Sharmila’s mother has been put under house arrest after an hour of Sharmila’s arrest. As per the information, when Sharmila’s mother YS Vijaya was going to the SG Nagar Police station where her daughter has been put up. YS Sharmila is the sister of Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is presently in conflict with the ruling KCR government.
As the incident unfolded, BJP’s Krishna Sagar Rao said while reacting to Sharmila’s arrest that KCR is drawing away the masses. He said, “CM KCR is playing a game with the people of Telangana, the political parties, and even the media. Because Sharmila has nothing at stake in Telangana. Sharmila’s political party has no relevance and she has no traction.”
YS Sharmila has now been moved out of the police station. She has got bail.
