Sachin Tendulkar recently has given his statement and slight hints to make some changes in the playing XI of the Indian Cricket Team for the upcoming cricket festival, T20 World Cup, in Australia.Â
Former Indian Cricketer and batting sensation, Sachin Tendulkar is back with his supporting Rishabh Pant to be included in the T20 World Cup’s playing XI.Â
However, previously, Rohit Sharma, Indian Captain had made his thoughts clear by making a statement about his plans in this edition of the T20 World Cup. Captain added that the playing XI for the matches is already prepared as Rohit doesn’t like to make changes and sticks to his preferred choices, in advance.
The 2007 champions’ T20 World Cup campaign gets underway on Sunday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against the bitter rivals Pakistan. Rohit Sharma has his playing XI set in advance for that match, as mentioned by Rohit himself.
Predicted Playing Squad for Upcoming match
Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya are the five topmost choices while Dinesh Karthik’s presence couldn’t be confirmed as well as Rishabh Pant for the World Cup opener match of India and Pakistan on Sunday, October 23.Â
Reasons for backing Rishabh Pant
Sachin Tendulkar, who’s a brand in himself. Tendulkar holds massive records for batting. Sachin, in a recent talk with PTI, has stressed the importance of having a left-handed batter in the batting lineup to ease things on the field.Â
He further added that a leftie could be a plus point as the presence of a left-handed batter would compel the bowler to adjust and these adjustments are the only thing that the bowlers don’t enjoy very much.
Sachin stated that he wouldn’t base his decision solely on the (top) three. The team would focus on playing as a unit so that the situation could be better understood. He further also added that it should be decided whom to send at what position only after examining the opposition’s strengths and weaknesses.Â
Sachin also talked about how Jasprit Bumrah’s unavailability in the World Cup would be affecting the Indian Cricket Team. Tendulkar also praised Shami for his incredible showcased performance in the Warm-up match against Australia, on Monday. He added that Shami has proven his presence in the T20 World Cup, besides his recent recovery from Covid.
Rishabh Pant’s career till now
Rishabh Pant is a left-handed batter and a wicket-keeper in the Indian Cricket Team and plays for the Franchise of Delhi Capitals in IPL (Indian Premier League). Pant, despite being a youngster, has touched great heights. Although his career is not over yet, Pant is facing difficulties to get his name, under the playing XI squad for the upcoming India-Pakistan match.
Besides that, Rishabh has managed to get into the 15 players of T20 Squad for the T20 World Cup 2022.
