The Netflix show, The Fame Game, was released on 25 February 2022. It is family thriller television series starring Madhuri Dixit. This series has marked Madhuri Dixit’s debut on the OTT platform. Produced by filmmaker Karan Johar, the series has received mixed reactions from viewers on Twitter.
Disappointed by the show’s title yet surprised by the series, one Twitter user wrote, “Okay, the fame game (the worst series title since cougar town) is actually great? hits all the prestige cable soap notes, is gorgeously scored and shot, and while most of the character beats and motivations are familiar, the writing makes clever use of the meta subtext.” Another one replied saying, “Title could’ve been better.”

Users have pointed out that the dialogues of the series are not great as well, and the Indian Television writers have a lot of room for improvement and learning. Leaving this aside, users felt that the series is exceptionally well-written.
The central plot is sharp, rich and cunning that “it could anchor those great forties’ women’s pictures”. While pointing out what the series lacked, a few users were amazed by the ever-mesmerizing Madhuri Dixit.
A user stated that he had just finished watching the series and expressed his astonishment by saying that he was “shocked”. The user was not just startled by the charisma of the living legend Madhuri Dixit is but also by the story of this series.
It contains various essential messages. The user loved how they had handled everything so perfectly and was very proud of the series by calling it a “masterpiece!”
