The British Fashion Council (BFC) announced the homecoming of The Fashion Awards 2021 in the Iconic Royal Albert Hall, London. The most remarkable event of the global fashion calendar will be held on 29th November 2021.
The 2021 Fashion Awards will seek global expansion through an innovative approach and future-facing ambition. It will celebrate those noteworthy who have had a transformational impact on the fashion industry in 2021.
The BFC addressed The Fashion Awards to place fashion at the intersection of culture and create a global entertainment platform for brands, creatives, designers, artists, and tastemakers to come together and celebrate the most prominent fashion festival. Â
New Wave: Creatives and Other AccoladesÂ
The notable awards that will be the event’s main focus are the Designer of the Year and the BFC Foundation Award.
In 2019, the last time when The Fashion Awards took place, the winners of the Designer of the Year and the BFC Foundation Award were Daniel Lee for Bottega Veneta and Wales Bonner, respectively.
The winners were Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino and Molly Goddard, respectively, for the year 2018.
The Fashion Awards will also celebrate the Leaders of Change, i.e., the designers, brands, creatives, and individuals who impacted the fashion industry positively.
It is segregated into five domains: Environment, People, Community and Craftsmanship, Creativity, and Culture.
There will be awards such as the Outstanding Achievement Award, the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, the Fashion Icon Award, and the New Wave: Creatives list on the grandest stage for fashion pioneers and industry leaders.Â
The New Wave: Creatives list, which will return for the fourth time, lists the most innovative and inspiring young creative talents worldwide. BFC presented this to showcase the community.
According to BFC, the International Industry actively utilizes this list to be the best global fashion talent outside of product design.
The Motive behind the Annual Fashion AwardsÂ
The ultimate objective of Tong’s is to potential future designers, thereby supporting the future growth and success of the British Fashion Industry.
The BFC supported 33 budding designers and some students through financial support grants and mentoring by raising £1.7 million for the BFC Foundation in 2020/2021.
The BFC will take care of all the health and safety measures and ensure that The Fashion Awards can occur smoothly.
The illustrious event will be staged per the guidelines issued by the government of the United Kingdom.
