The much-awaited sequel of Avatar is just two weeks away from us and the director James Cameron got us a surprise already by bringing the leading pop star of this era ‘The Weeknd’ featuring on the soundtrack of Avatar: The Way of Water. Able himself shared the news on Twitter which was later corroborated by the film’s producer Jon Landau. We may hear the tracks on 16th December.
The Weeknd has shared a strange teaser clip to his Twitter account later shared on Instagram. The clip video length of 12 seconds features a blue “A” logo with a bird at its center and is scored by a haunting opaque melody with heavy drums. The Weeknd captioned the teaser clip post with “12.16.22,”.
It’s not the first time that The Weeknd appeared in a big film as a singer
The Weeknd’s most recent album, Dawn FM, was released earlier this year. He’s had a number of original songs featured in movie soundtracks over the years,
He first got into the musical Soundscape game with 2013’s The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In the following years. He’s also done music for Game of Thrones,50 Shades of Grey, Notable, Black Panther, and even American Dad a couple of years back.
The Weeknd featured in Boomin’s album released last week
Just a Few days back we heard The Weeknd on Metro Boomin album ‘Heroes and Villains’ on the track ” Creepin’ ” ft. 21 Savage. The album also fueled with features like Future, Gunna, Chris Brown, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, Young Nudy, 21 Savage, Don Toliver, the late Takeoff, and more.

Avatar: The Way Of Water is a follow-up sequel to Avatar released in 2003. The way of water will explore and will follow the storyline from the first part. Jake Sully and Neytiri after they’ve begun to raise a family. The story takes place more than a decade after the incidents happened during the first part of its prequel film.

Sam Worthington, Stephen Lang, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang, as well as Kate Winslet.
The film is written and directed by James Cameron. He also handled the editing and production of the film. Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno assisted Cameron in the writing process of the project.
Weaver recently spoke about Avatar at a screening of her film The Good House.
“The story is about family, about our families trying to stay together and the lengths to which we all go to protect each other and protect the place where we live,”. “It’s very much based on [James Cameron’s] family and his joy in the family; and also, how vulnerable you are when you have children.”
Notably, The Weeknd’s Dawn FM, which he dropped in early January, made Rolling Stone’s “The 100 Best Albums of 2022” list. He is holding Dawn FM from awards nomination as he is boycotting the awards.
Apart from his musical journey, the Canadian American Weeknd is all set for his television debut on HBO Max’s The Idol due out in 2024. Weekend stars in the series with Reza Fahim, Sam Levinson, and Lily-Rose Depp.
The Canadian American leading pop singer is creating this show in association with Reza Fahim and Levinson for HBO. Including that he is also involved in pretty much every other zone of the series whether it’s production writing or other things. It will be his first major acting role.
