She made it to the top in the 1960s, performing with her husband Ike Turner in songs like Mountain High, Proud Mary, River Deep, although she had a violent relationship with him. She got divorced in 1978 and, her career upturned in the 1980s being a solo singer.Â
Over the years, Turner faced numerous health challenges, including cancer, a stroke, and kidney failure. Her team declared her dead on her social media accounts.Â
