On monday, Ukraine put forward the demand of “an ‘immediate’ ceasefire” in the fourth round of talks. “Kyiv’s negotiators were striking for straight talks with Russian President Putin,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Mykhailo Podolyak negotiator of the Russia-Ukraine war said, “A technical pause has been taken in the negotiations until tomorrow. For additional work in the working subgroups and clarification of individual definitions. Negotiations continue.”. Due to technical pause on Monday has been taken in between the negotiations, it is paused until Tuesday, one of Ukraine’s negotiators said on Twitter.

Due to Russia invasion, Ukraine’s economy could fall down by a third
On Monday, a staff report released by the International Monetary Fund said Ukraine’s economy is predicted to collapse by 10% in 2022 due to Russia’s invasion, but the point of view could magnify sharply if the conflict lasts longer.
The IMF’s report said, “Ukraine has an external financing gap of $4.8 billion. Plus, the concurrence of $1.4 billion in emergency financing.” In addition to this Ukraine’s economic output could shrink by 25% to 35%, based on real wartime gross domestic product data from Iraq, Lebanon, and other countries at war.
On Wednesday, Zelenskyy to address US Congress
On Wednesday at 9 am [13.00GMT] President Zelenskyy will virtually address the US Congress, US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in a joint letter to US lawmakers.
On Monday, they wrote, “The Congress remains unwavering in our commitment to supporting Ukraine as they face Putin’s cruel and diabolical aggression, and to passing legislation to cripple and isolate the Russian economy as well as deliver humanitarian, security, and economic assistance to Ukraine.”
