The Bharatiya Janata Party is equivalently moving towards the fourth phase for the Uttar Pradesh elections keeping a certain pace for the Hindu votes that are getting counted
The fourth phase for Uttar Pradesh Elections will start from February 23; while everyone is getting ready for the stage, BJP is moving with its motto to spread the notion of one nation, one unity.
The areas of UP that will be polled in the fourth phase are significant for the Bharatiya Janata Party. At the same time, the other parties focus more on gathering the noted votes for different constituencies; BJP is explicitly working towards garnering all the Hindu votes to themselves.
A total of seven stages are there for polling for the 2022 UP Assembly elections; while phases one, two, three got over, the fourth phase for the Uttar Pradesh election will be starting from Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
The fourth phase will always be unique for BJP as last time in the 2017 Assembly elections, BJP won 87% of their seats that went to poll in the fourth phase of the Uttar Pradesh Elections. That is how BJP is working day-night hard to make things happen positively in the fourth phase for themselves.
According to a political analyst based in New Delhi, “the party (BJP) cannot afford to lose the fourth phase; if it does in any scenario, then it would be difficult for them to gain the constituency for further steps.
Seat divisions and the Battle for Lucknow
A total of nine districts are included for the fourth phase in Uttar Pradesh. Out of nine, seven are alone from the Awadh region, which briefly comprises: Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Fatehpur.
These are the briefs for all the seven districts included in phase four for polling. Apart from these, two other sections are polling today, which have Pilbhit in Rohilkhand and Banda in Bundelkhand.
The seat division in Uttar Pradesh for phase four is unequal as there are only four seats given for Rohilkhand and Bundelkhand, and the rest is divided among the Avadh region and the seven districts included in that.
The fourth phase will mark Lucknow as the battlefield for seats and voting. There is a total of nine seats which are included for Lucknow district. As it is known that BJP mostly digs for the bigger cities than the rural areas, the BJP here in Lucknow has an affordable grip over the constituency.
Though the city has an enough Muslim population, still BJP has a succession over holding the whole district with its old Hindu card.
There are other candidates from the opposition, such as Ravidas Mehrotra from the Samajwadi Party, contesting the election from Lucknow district. The only problem for BJP would create the votes of the Parsi community; eventually, there is a shift from the polls for this community from the Bharatiya Janata Party to the Samajwadi Party.
There would be desertification from the Parsi community while they give their vote to the Samajwadi Party. Even the Dalits from the Hardoi and Sitapur districts count 30% of these two districts. According to the local source, even the Dalits are not willing to give the vote to BJP either, while they shift their opinion towards the Samajwadi Party.
The Hindu Card playing in the state of UP
The recent remark made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the cycle symbol of the opposition, the Samajwadi Party, made a composition of statements that brought many things into the limelight.
He compared the character to terrorism and gave his conceitful information attacking directly to the Samajwadi Party. While the politicians enjoyed the campaign, the voters got confused with the marketing ideas they brought in for them.
It has become more common wherein the election is more localized and distributed among the state’s people.
Now it appears that these obstacles have become an opportunity for the political parties to intensify the Hindutva campaign. Especially when it comes to playing the card of Hindu, parties such as BSP and BJP are among the first political parties to publicize the issue.
One of the significant instances has become the Ram Mandir of Ayodhya, which is being built for the sake of the Ram Janmabhoomi. Coincidentally, the polling conduction in Ayodhya will be held on February 27, and the BJP hopes that the Ram Mandir factor will help them conquer the Awadh region.
