DEHRADUN/HARIDWAR: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday issued information to conduct a statewide confirmation drive “to check the accreditations of individuals who have settled in Uttarakhand but have a place in other states”.

The move is being started to “avoid any untoward occurrence” amid the yearly journey, sources within the CM’s office said. They claimed that “some people utilize the Char Dham route for recreational exercises instead of undertaking the journey in an aware manner”, which they said, “was not appropriate and has to be checked.”
