Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off by PM Narendra Modi Tomorrow. The Uttarakhand CM, Pushkar Singh Dhami, will also attend the inaugural event.
Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially start Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharath tomorrow, May 25th. The inaugural function will be held through video conferencing on Thursday.
According to the statement from Sudhir Singh, Moradabad Railway Division’s Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM), after the flag-off, the Vande Bharath Express service will be held between Dehradun and New Delhi.
CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will also be there at the flag-off event. He will be the last of the inaugural event at Dehradun railway station, Singh said. Similarly, earlier on May 18th, the Vande Bharath Express between Puri and Howrah was also flagged off by the Prime minister through video conferencing.
Vande Bharath is fully designed with advanced and sophisticated facilities which are for satisfying the personal amenities of passengers. Primarily the express train can be addressed as an Ultra-Modern-semi- high-speed train.
The Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw pinned down after the flag off of Odisha’s first Vande Bharat; Prime Minister intends to launch the Vande Bharat train in almost all the states by the upcoming June 2024. ” Vande Bharat Metro is designed to satisfy passengers’ daily travel requirements, and this project will be launched for a distance of less than 100 km”, Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw added.
Vande Bharat Express
The service of Vande Bharat mainly aims to satisfy the passengers with immense facilities, including the time-consuming element.
The Vande Bharat train is designed indigenously, having the feature of a self-propelled semi-high-speed train set. The train is manufactured more conveniently and comfortably, which produces an applicable travel experience for the passengers.
ICF has targeted to manufacture 75 Vande Bharat trains by this coming August 2024.
It is the fastest train in the country, having a top speed of 160 km/h. Automatic plug doors, Wi-Fi, and infotainment are other features. The express train has executive coaches along with reclining seats, without distinguishing any classes. Moreover, 180-degree rotating seat facilities are another attractive feature of the Vande Bharat Express.
Vande Bharat Express -Historic Timeline
The first Vande Bharat train was launched by PM Modi on February 15th, 2019, from Delhi to Varanasi. The train can be addressed as Indian Railways’ fastest as well as India’s first engine-less train.
The sophisticated train service is designed with immense security concerns, including Kovach Technology. The Kovach Technology is induced to avoid accidents like train collisions, which points to the security concern of the mission(Train Collision Avoidance System).
The first Indian Vande Bharat train covers the distance of 770 km between Delhi and Varanasi. The second Vande Bharat was flagged off by Union Minister Amit Shah on October 3rd, 2019, between New Delhi and Katra. The distance covered by the state is 650 km.
The third Vande Bharat Express, launched on September 30th, 2022, by PM Modi, runs between Gandhinagar to Mumbai Central. And the train covers 520 km within 6 hours and 15 minutes.
The New Delhi -Amb Andaura Express was inaugurated on October 13th, 2022, covering 415 km. On 11 November 2022, South India’s first Vande Bharat Express flagged off between Chennai and Mysore. The Bilaspur -Nagpur Vande Bharat Express is India’s sixth launch, flagged off on December 11th, 2022.
The seventh Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated on December 30th, 2022, from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri. On January 15th, 2024, India’s 8th Vande Bharat Express train was Inaugurated between Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad. The ninth express train Mumbai CSTM-Solapur was launched on February 10th, 2024.
The Rani Kamalapati-Hazrat Nizamuddin Vande Bharat Express was flagged on April 01st, 2024, which is the 11th service. On April 08th, 2024, the 12th Vande Bharat Secunderabad-Tirupati Express launched. The 13th service was inaugurated on April 08th, 2024, between MGR Chennai Central-Coimbatore. The Vande Bharat 14th service flagged off on April 12th, 2024, between Delhi Cantonment to Ajmer Junction. The 15th Vande Bharat service is from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod, which was flagged off on April 25th, 2024. The Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express started service on May 18th, 2024.
