In the context of the recent Tawang clash, the Chinese Foreign Minister explains more about the current status of India-China relations.

Wang’s statements
China’s External Affairs Minister Wang Yi said in his statements on Sunday that China was up for cooperating with India towards a diplomatic relationship. Wang insists that both the nations were inclined towards maintaining peace in the disputed areas.
“China and India have maintained communication through the diplomatic and military-to-military channels, and both countries are committed to upholding stability in the border areas” he said. We stand ready to work with India in the direction toward steady and sound growth of China-India relations” he added.
The above statements made by the Chinese Foreign Minister are few mentions by him of the India-China relations while he was addressing a long speech over the global foreign affairs of China in a conference.
Efforts with other nations
In his address over foreign relations, he also expresses his antagonism over bloc confrontation and China’s opposition towards Quad formation.
Mentioning China’s relations with Pakistan he says the two sides were committed to maintain the strong relationship between them and promote their partnership.
In his speech Wang also proclaims the ongoing tensions with the United States on one side and on the other side the growing friendly ties with Russia.
Wang states that the ongoing friction between US and China fed on the perspective that US had of China as being a major rival for US.
