The global pandemic of COVID-19 has brought many changes to the educational system. The educational system has shifted to online learning. Both teachers and students struggle to adjust to the abrupt introduction of e-learning.
Students struggle both physically and mentally to adjust to the online class. Here are some of the suggestions for staying healthy while taking online classes;
1) Prepare a Flow Chart:
Online students must create a flow chart and work according to it. It will aid in task management and serve as an excellent time-management tool.
2) Break:
Taking a 20-30 minute break helps to refresh the mind. During the interval, instead of sitting, go for a walk or urinate. Taking breaks at regular intervals of time increases the concentration level.
3) Eat Healthy Foods:
When taking online classes, students have a tendency to overindulge in junk food.Sitting in the same place and eating junk food is unhealthy. Students should replace junk foods with healthy foods for a good life.
4) Communication:
 The majority of students in online classes do not actively participate in communication and are sedentary. It is the responsibility of teachers and parents to encourage their students to participate in the discussion. This will improve the student’s language and communication skills and keep them active.
5) Adequate Sleep:
Adequate sleep is essential for good health. Students who burn midnight oil to complete their assignments do not get proper sleep. Improper sleep causes various health issues. Getting 7 to 8 hours of good sleep refreshes the mind and also helps in lowering health problems.
6) Regular Exercise:
Be it online mode or offline mode, students should do yoga, meditation, and exercise every day to maintain a healthy body.
When things spiral out of control, students experience stress and trauma. Students should manage things and tackle the situation with a clear mind.
