A fight broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida between two groups after some men forcefully tried to take selfies with the women during a New Year celebration event on Saturday night.
According to the reports, the incident took place at the Gaur City First Avenue Society in Greater Noida. The police stated, that some individuals attempted to take selfies with two ladies at the party. This caused a heated argument between the accused guys and the wife’s husbands.
It is also claimed that when the women opposed taking the selfies, the guys misbehaved with them and attacked some youths. Police have taken two-three people in custody.
In the video, that has surfaced on the internet, the residents can be seen arguing with the accused men, who are also using force to control the crowd.
During the celebration, a few residents of the society were dancing when these men forcefully tried to take selfies with the women, which resulted in a heated argument between the accused and the women’s family members.
The accused then pulled the two guys and a few other locals and attacked them. When the society’s guards tried to interfere, they too suffered from injuries.
Ajith Kumar, a resident of the society claimed that the guys were attempting to get selfies with his wife and his wife’s friend.
“They literally dragged my friend and me by our collars and beat us when we questioned who they were. He said that they attacked my friend and a few other people, who are now being treated at a hospital for their wounds.
The accused threatened them by claiming to be in the police and had previously caused a stir in society, he added.
Anoop Soni, a resident of the community, claims that “the fight started when a resident brought his two stranger friends to the celebration. They battled with their husbands when the women protested. Other people who stepped in were also injured. AOA member’s shoulder was dislocated, and one individual required seven stitches.
According to the police, four people have been admitted to the hospital. An investigation is now taking place after a case was filed, the police said.
Anil Rajput, the SHO for the Bisrakh police station area, stated that the issue is under investigation and that anyone found responsible will face harsh punishment.
