The work-from-home concept started during the COVID-19 Pandemic; it was implemented globally to ensure and keep business ongoing, though it was not easy for people, businesses, establishments, and each country’s government.
Since it is essential to keep the governance of every nation and to ensure that all business is running, there is no other option but to adapt to the WFH concept.
Implementing the work-from-home concept globally is slowly adapted until it becomes a new norm globally, almost three years into remote working.Â
People, establishments, government departments, and education departments know that everyone can deliver or perform in a remote working environment. Many are convinced that flexibility to work remotely is here to stay and will be a requirement to be competitive in the future.
People’s thoughtfulness about Work From Home
Â
From some people’s point of view, they are convinced they can deliver the same performance and productivity while working from home. They have started to get used to it as it gives more independence, no need to commute, and flexibility in time.
They can have a work-life balance as while people work from home they can spend more quality time with their family and most of all it helps the environment as it reduces air pollution as fewer cars are running every day. Less cutting of trees due to less use of paper, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, we get to increase air quality.
Whereas in others, working from home become a challenge to them as it is difficult for others, especially for those who have limited access to the internet and gadgets, they can’t perform or deliver their duty proficiently; it increases isolation which is not advisable for an outgoing type of people who are used to communicate and interact personally to others, which leads to the high impact of mental issues globally.
Also, there is a risk of overworking, and an unhealthy lifestyle since all are expected to work from home, attend meetings and workloads and continue working overtime, creating stress for others. Seeing factories, offices, and establishments empty is a sad sight, which is not a good sign if the WFH concept continues for a long time.
