During tonight’s episode of WWE “Raw,” Corey Graves and the rest of the announce crew revealed that WWE will return to Saudi Arabia for “Crown Jewel” on November 5, 2022. Since 2014, WWE has made a habit of going on this sabbatical every year.
Back in 2018, WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority made public their intention to embark on a 10-year strategic alliance in order to lend their assistance to the Saudi Vision 2030 plan, which is the Kingdom’s social and economic reform agenda. The agreement intended for two events to take place each year; however, the pandemic caused by COVID-19 necessitated delays in 2020 and 2021. Since “The Greatest Royal Rumble” in 2018, WWE has been performing yearly performances in Saudi Arabia, with the exception of the years in which a pause was required due to unforeseen circumstances.
According to a story that was published by PWInsider back in April, the WWE was very close to finalizing the contract that would allow them to return to the Saudi Kingdom. When the decision was being made, both the last week of October and the first week of November were being given significant consideration for the show.
