The new Zara x Barbie the Movie collection is now available in Singapore, so live out your Barbie fantasies!
Zara is urging everyone to dress up in advance of the July 21 debut of the “Barbie” movie. The clothing company Zara has revealed its latest line, which was inspired by the numerous Barbies and Kens in the upcoming movie.
Barbie, who debuted in 1959 by American toy juggernaut Mattel Inc., is unquestionably the most well-known doll in history. Over the years, Barbie dolls have been sold in over a billion different countries.
As a result of Barbie’s enormous success, numerous fashion alliances have been formed, further solidifying the doll’s position as a key cultural figure.

Zara is launching two Barbie pop-up stores, one in Paris and one in New York, to commemorate the collection.
They’ll be based on the Barbie Dreamhouse and with fun extras like life-size dressing rooms and a rotating vending machine.
From Monday, July 17 through Sunday, July 30, they’ll be open. The New York pop-up is in SoHo, whilst the Paris one is at the Champs-Élysées location.
What the collection features
Barbie’s most recognisable appearances from the most recent decades are referenced in the collection, which has a pink color scheme.
On Monday, July 17, it will be available online and in stores all around the world, but images of the entire collection have already circulated on social media.

Previous barbie collaborations
Gap announced a new agreement with Mattel Inc. in July 2024 for a limited-edition clothing line centered around the Barbie doll.
The company announced that the Gap x Barbie line will include t-shirts, skirts, logo sweatshirts, denim, and button-down shirts.
All items will have Gap-designed packaging that combines the iconic Barbie trademark with the retailer’s distinctive arch typeface.
Gap and Barbie had collaborated in the past, in 1995, to design a red Gap logo appropriate for the doll. Following the partnership, “Barbie in Khakis” appeared in 1996, and “Barbie and Kelly in Denim” appeared in 1997.
As part of its Tribute Collection, Mattel debuted a special Barbie doll bearing the likeness of fashion icon Vera Wang on May 5, 2022.
The Vera Wang Barbie doll, according to a statement from Mattel, honors “Asian-American and Pacific Islander women and role models to inspire a more inclusive world for the next generation.”
The toy company in America stated that Wang, who was raised by Chinese immigrants, “has cemented her place as a beacon of creativity, with a lasting impact on fashion for generations to come.”
The doll was dressed in a black romper underneath a chiffon dress with puff sleeves and possessed straight, long, black hair like the style icon.
To commemorate Barbie’s 60th birthday, streetwear company KITH Women and Mattel created a special capsule collection with co-branded pink-and-black varsity jackets, hoodies, caps, sweats, and printed t-shirts.
In honor of the legendary Suede shoe’s 50th anniversary and Puma’s introduction of a limited-edition Barbie doll on December 6, 2018, the renowned German sportswear company.
Along with the collection, two Puma Barbie dolls wearing athletic clothing from the 1990s were shown. The other had brown hair in braided bunches and wore a co-branded black-and-pink tank top underneath a giant hot pink track jacket.
One of them had blonde hair and was dressed in a hot pink Barbie x Puma tank top over an oversized white track jacket. Both have their own line of Puma-branded leggings and Suede trainers.
A Barbie doll created in the form of American supermodel Gigi Hadid was unveiled on February 8, 2017, to commemorate the launch of her second capsule collection with Tommy Hilfiger.

In collaboration with the legendary German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who passed away in 2019, Barbie created some of her most well-known designs.
Robert Best of Mattel created the Barbie Collector doll, which was a component of the line. In essence, the doll was Barbie clothed in Lagerfeld’s distinctive fashion.
The doll was dressed in a black jacket over a white shirt with a high collar, dark sunglasses, a white ponytail, a necktie, slender black pants, black ankle boots, and a little quilted Chanel bag.
