The outage lasted half an hour, according to users. The outage got verified by Zomato. Zomato stated that it was a temporary issue. The firm’s Twitter account responded to the complaint by saying that they were working on that issue. They assured users that it will be resolved soon.
Interestingly over an hour after the outage issue got resolved. Several Zomato users claimed that the app got restored. But the downturn continues in many regions of the nation. Swiggy, on the other hand, has made no such remarks. Swiggy’s Twitter handle responded to one such post concerning the outage by saying, “We notice that the app is working now, “please check.” Swiggy and Zomato have not yet made an official remark on the topic.
According to the outage tracking website Down detector, both Zomato and Swiggy were suffering disruptions. The Zomato and Swiggy applications were experiencing glitch issues. At 9 p.m., complaints started flowing that the problem was allegedly not resolved. The concerns came from metro areas such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Tier 2 locations Gwalior.
A meme craze started on the internet as usual. Twitterati started mocking the outage. Users complained about being kept in the dark on a Friday night while waiting to order their dinner. People began making fun of the two meal delivery titans in their social media posts. Users on Twitter used memes and videos to express their dissatisfaction. They make funny comments at the two big companies.
Zomato may be doomed as a result of the outage. If the outage was longer than a few hours, both apps could have been affected more. Both Zomato and Swiggy handled the issue by informing people via social media and messages.
