The presence of water has been found in the shallow lakes of the satellite of Jupiter.
Europa, discovered by Galileo Galilei is one of the 57 satellites of Jupiter which have been given an official name by the international astronomical union (IAU). It was discovered in 1610 and has an axial tilt of 0.1 degrees.
It consists of silicate rocks, a water ice crust, and an iron-nickel core.Â

This satellite has been named after Europa, a noblewoman in Greek mythology. Europa is slightly smaller than the moon and it is similar in composition to terrestrial moons.
The Hubble space telescope found an image of Europa in 2012 which was explained to be a plume of water vapor erupting from near its south pole.
Recently, a study by NASA has found that there is the presence of water in the shallow lakes of Europa, the satellite of Jupiter.it has been predicted that there is a lot more water in Europa than in the oceans of the earth.
Cryo lava flows mean that there are shallow liquid reservoirs below, which Europa Clipper would be able to detect. Results of the space agency NASA have given new insights into how deep the water might be that’s driving surface activity, including plumes.

Jupiter has the largest number of satellites in the solar system. Galileo Galilei has discovered the 4 largest satellites. Those are called Galilean satellites. Four of them are Callisto, Europa, Ganymede, and Lo. Europa will be on NASA’s radar for its upcoming Europa Clipper mission.
NASA has got one of the most breathtaking pictures of the universe with planets, moons, stars, and even asteroids. Recently, Europa also has been clicked by NASA, after the presence of water has been found. Â
These findings have been made days after the Juno spacecraft went into the lunar world.
