Britain’s new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s life in the US.
Rishi Sunak, the British politician, is the son of Indian parents. Both of his parents are of Indian origin. They migrated to the UK in the 1960s. They were pharmacists. He studied at Winchester College and also studied philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE) at Lincoln College, Oxford. He completed his MBA at Stanford University where he met Akshata Murty. Later, they got married.
Rishi Sunak took his oath as MP from Yorkshire on the Bhagavad Gita in Parliament. He was the first person in parliament to do so.
The MBA Programme is known to be one of the most exclusive degrees in the country, in which Mr. Sunak took classes on the “Path to Power” which is intended to help students understand the power and how to use it effectively. This program admits roughly 400 students per year.
During these years, he met his current wife, Akshata Murty. They were a “power couple” on campus.
Akshata Narayana Murthy is the daughter of N.R. Narayana Murthy (Founder of Infosys) and Sudha Murty. She is a British-based fashion designer. She holds a 0.93% stake in Infosys. She and Rishi Sunak have two daughters named Krishna and Anoushka.
After graduating, Mr. Sunak took a job at the London-based hedge fund, TCI Fund Management Sunak started his political career in British politics when he won a seat in UK Parliament in 2015.
Rishi Sunak has a net worth of 700 million pounds. The couple owns a mansion in Yorkshire.
Recently, he has been accused of “leadership failure” for not attending the COP27 climate meeting. As per the opposition, the Prime Minister’s decision to not attend the summit demonstrated that the administration is not taking the climate threat seriously, while environmental secretary Coffey defended the prime minister.
