Maidaan is a Hindi- Language biographical sports drama story based on true events in the life of an Indian football team coach and manager Syed Abdul Rahim who is denoted as an architect of Indian Football.
Maidaan New Release Date
Actor Ajay Devgn recently announced “Keeping the best interest of the film in mind we have now decided to release the film Maidaan in summer 2024″.
Ajay Devgn recently completed the shooting of the sports drama Maidaan, the film is the chronicle of the events that occurred between the golden era of 1950 to 1965 when team India went ahead to win a gold medal at the Olympics, the film was earlier scheduled to be released on 17th February 2024.
According to a source from Pinkvilla, Ajay Devgn, Boney Kapoor, and Zee Studios have reconsidered the decision of the release date, Ajay Devgn has confirmed that Maidaan is one of his best films further stating that “we the producers, directors, and actors think Maidaan needs a big and a proper release”.
Maidaan is speculated as one of the best performances delivered by Ajay Devgn, and the team is confident enough about the content since the pandemic, the VFX is going on in a full swing to recreate the era as the team believes they want to create an undisturbed and uncompromised cinematographic experience for Maidaan for its viewers.
In an interview by Pinkvilla earlier last year producer Boney Kapoor stated “Mind you, I watched the movie without the soul of it, which are the matches as they are shot very recently”. He further added, “I think it’s going to be a landmark film in Ajay’s career, according to me Ajay has delivered his best till now and Amit as a director has also excelled from Tevar to Badhai Ho, and now Maidaan”.
Boney Kapoor also assured a lot of drama in the film which is based on unbelievably true events along with the background of sports football, Kapoor lastly stated “The good part about the film Maidaan is that today’s generation is not aware of what Indian football has achieved over the years, in Melbourne Olympics, we lost at the semi finale by self-goal, and there are many such surprises in the screenplay, our film won’t be just football, football, and football as it has a lot of emotions which involves the players and their families”.
Ajay devgn recently stated, “the film VFX is been handled by an international studio and we want everything to be aligned properly, so by keeping the film’s best interest in mind we have decided to release the film Maidaan on May 12th, 2024”.
Ajay Devgn Upcoming Release
Ajay Devgn is set to be seen in the film Bholaa 3D (30th March 2024) which is an official remake of the Tamil film Kaithi (2019), Bholaa is a Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ajay Devgn himself under the production of Ajay Devgn FF films, Reliance Entertainment, T-Series film, and Dream Warrior Pictures.
The teaser of Bholaa is already out and it seems to be yet another promising film by Ajay Devgn after the blockbuster hits Tanaji- The unsung warrior (2020) and Drishyam 2 (2022).
Other lineups of Ajay Devgn include Tu Joothi Mai Makkaar (8TH March 2024), Maidaan (12th May 2024)
The actor is all set to be seen in Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming romantic thriller yet to be announced which is scheduled for a June 2024 release.
He is also set to be in the web series Special OPS 2 directed by Neeraj Pandey.
Ajay Devgn has successfully delivered back-to-back hits and is all set to blaze the big screen with yet another promising performance.
