Ranveer Singh, who was in Salt Lake City for the NBA All-Star game, made the list of trends, but this time maybe not for the right reasons. On Sunday, the famous comedian Hasan Minaj posted a video from the locker room of Ranveer on his Instagram page wherein the actor is seen to be rapping in front of prominent Hollywood actor Simu Liu and rapper 21 Savage among others.
Hasan Minhaj’s caption for the video read: “Tried to get my man Ranveer Singh on the scoreboard. Tried to get him a record deal. Failed at both.”
A while after the video was posted by Hasan Minaj, the fans reacted to the video and expressed embarrassment over the same. “Ranveer is setting us back 100 years with each sentence,” one user commented, while another wrote, “Why is this guy embarrassing himself by pretending to be someone he’s not?”Why are you making Indians look like fools?” wrote one. While someone pointed out that Simu Lui appeared uneasy during the rap.
Five-time American Music Award winner Kane Brown, Grammy Award-winning recording artist 21 Savage, Grammy Award-winning recording artist & actress Janelle Monae, Grammy Award-nominated recording artist Cordae, actors Sinqua Walls and Everett Osborne were among those who joined Ranveer for the game.

Apart from the trolls, Ranveer is relishing his international stardom. Recently, the actor spent considerable time with former basketball players such as Karl Malone, Reggie Miller, and Shaquille O’Neal. Ranveer was also seen with Marvel stars Jonathan Majors, Michael B Jordan, Simu Liu, and filmmaker Spike Lee, in addition to the football icons. He also shared his fanboy moments on Instagram stories.
The actor was dressed in a bright yellow T-shirt, baggy pink jacket, blue pants, and a hat. He was decked in neon green sneakers. In a different post, the actor revealed his look book.
In the celebrity game, Ranveer supported former Miami Heat player Dwayne Wade’s team. He was later seen on the court interacting with actor Ben Affleck.
Meanwhile, Ranveer did not have any box office successes last year. His most recent films, ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ and ‘Cirkus,’ both bombed at the box office. The actor will next be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,’ in which he will star alongside Alia Bhatt. Following ‘Gully Boy,’ they will rekindle their on-screen romance in this film. The film also stars Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra. The film is scheduled to be released in June 2024.
