After half a decade, the wait is finally over! Rihanna’s brandy Fenty will reunite with Puma again to produce apparel that aligns with the themes of both companies.
So what makes this collaboration so special?
Rihanna has always been a fashion icon, even before the founding of her own fashion brand she was collaborating with other labels. One of the most notable collabs was the one with Puma.
The bond between the Musician Billionaire and the Sports giant stands 10 years old today. In 2014, she was announced the creative director for Puma which was her first mark in the Fashion world.Â
During her tenure as the director she released a line of sneakers in collaboration with the brand which sold out in minutes. Alongside this, she also hosted numerous fashion shows at fashion weeks along with Puma, majorly at the New York Fashion Week. The partnership was paused in 2017 due to Rihanna pursuing a few other ventures…

Rihanna has made a mark for herself in more than just the music industry. Apart from giving the world one of the most iconic songs till date, she delved into the Beauty and Fashion industry where she found insane success.
Usually, celebrity/influencer associated cosmetic products are faced with criticism. The cause of this is usually the allegation of ventures being taken on for monetary gain at the cost of compromised quality. However, the ‘Diamonds’ singer was an exception.
Rihanna launched her brand Fenty Beauty in 2017, and her fashion brand Fenty Fashion in 2019, both of which went on to attain insane success in the years to come. Her brand embodies inclusivity with the slogan ‘Fenty for all’, which is a major reason for its popularity among the common public as well.

2016 (fall)
The debut collection screamed risk taker. The outfits were an unpredictable combination of biker jackets, high boots, darker undertones and a good taste of rebellion.
The collection was described as what would be the ‘Addams family’s outfit of choice for the gym’ by Rihanna backstage.
The outfits were leaning more towards disruptive streetwear which dominated 2016 than athleisure.
The shoes were the most attractive parts of most outfits for her fans, with the Creepers becoming an instant cult favorite.Â
2017 Spring RTW
Rihanna has reminisced about her rebellious college days in past interviews but this one fashion show was where she embodied it in the clothes. The setting was an elegant library(Richelieu-Louvois)
The theme to the Mogul remained rebellion but with the added spice of a college setting. Models jumped over tables and emerged from lockers. Oversized and baggy clothing was in fashion, the hoodies, sweatshirts, retro waistbands and button down track pants were amongst the many elements that made the outfit the perfect designer athleisure.
Fenty’s overall tomboyish themed outfits align perfectly well with Puma’s motive to produce quality athleisure which is probably why the brands have been able to sustain such a long lasting relationship, we can’t wait to see what flavor of fashionable mutiny does this collab bring to the gym this year.
