The skipper KL Rahul, who turned 31 today, celebrated his birthday with wife Athiya Shetty. Given that the cricketers are touring now that the IPL season has resumed, the celebration appears to be taking place in a private setting. It is skipper’s first birthday post his marriage with long term girlfriend and now wife Athiya Shetty. The couple tied the knot after dating each other for so long in January this year.
Suniel Shetty and Ahan Shetty wished KL Rahul-
As people from the cricket world and Bollywood took to social media to wish the skipper a happy birthday; however, one wish stood out most, it came from his father-in-law and actor Suniel Shetty, who shared a beautiful post on Instagram with a caption reading- “Blessed to have you in our lives… Happy Birthday baba” with a black heart emoji. KL reposted it and reacted with a red emoji with an evil eye emoji. He chose a picture from his daughter’s wedding album, who got married to KL Rahul on 23rd January in an intimate ceremony with only close friends and relatives, at their Khandala’s farmhouse. The family later shared glimpses of the ceremony on the internet and fans couldn’t stop gushing over them.

Athiya’s younger brother who shares a good bond with the skipper also shared a picture on his social media account with a message- “Happy Birthday brother”. Tania Shroff, Ahan Shetty’s long term girlfriend, and a very good friend of Athiya also shared a screenshot of a facetime with Rahul where his face was covered with cake. Four of them are quite close and frequently spotted hanging out and spending time together. They all were seen together at the screening of the movie Tadap which was Ahan’s debut film.

A picture of last night’s birthday celebration went viral, showing the couple wearing matching black and white striped outfits and cutting the cake together. The couple was seen posing for pictures with one of their friends who posted stories on Instagram. KL Rahul is currently playing for Lucknow Super Giants and leading the team as a captain in the Indian Premier League. Also, he became the fastest batter to complete 4000 runs during his IPL match against Punjab Kings on Saturday. LSG took its official account on different social platforms to wish their captain.
