According to T.N. Minister Gingee K.S, about 5,000 students from T.N. were in the war-torn country. Masthan claimed the state was working with the Centre to arrange for their return.Â
The five Tamil Nadu students studying in Ukraine and their families were relieved when they arrived in Chennai on Sunday morning after being successfully evacuated from the country, which is resisting a Russian invasion.Â
All five were students at the Bukovinian State Medical University, which is located in western Ukraine near the Romanian border. Compared to the eastern section of the country, which shares a border with Russia, this region has been comparatively unaffected by the continuing conflict.Â
Although the children and their families were relieved to return home safely, they expressed concern about their education’s uncertainties. Mr Vivek believes that the government should consider allowing their university to offer online education to these pupils.Â
Gingee K.S. Masthan, the Tamil Nadu Minister for Minorities Welfare and Non-Resident Tamils Welfare, who met the students at the airport, claimed that over 5,000 students from the state were studying in Ukraine. He stated that the state government gathered all of their information and worked with the federal authorities to return them.Â
He stated that the second group of 12 kids would arrive in Chennai on Sunday evening.Â
A group of Kerala students studying in Ukraine arrived at Chennai airport early Sunday morning. Kerala government officials assisted them in continuing their trek to that state.Â
Compared to the eastern section of the country, which shares a border with Russia, this region has been comparatively unaffected by the continuing conflict.Â
According to the students, the students were bused to the Romanian border, then taken to the Bucharest airport in Romania, before being flown to Delhi and then Chennai.Â
