Gadar: Ek Prem Katha came out in 2001 and starred the same characters as Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel. In this movie, Tara Singh, a truck driver, saved a Muslim woman, Sakeena, who was running away from a mob. Sakeena started living in his house and they fell in love. They became parents to a baby boy in that movie.
In Gadar 2, Tara Singh crossed the border of Pakistan to save his son, Charanjeet, who was played by Utkarsh Sharma. Charanjeet was held captive in Pakistan.
Gadar 2 recently entered the club of earning 400 crore INR in the domestic box office. As days go by, it is slowly getting closer to enter the 500 crore INR club. On the third Friday of the movie running in the box office, it earned an amount of nearly 7 crore INR.
Being released on August 11, Gadar 2 is directed by Anil Sharma, father of Utkarsh Sharma. According to Hema Malini, who had watched Gadar 2 with utmost excitement, praised Utkarsh’s acting in the movie. Famous actress, Hema Malini, also professed that she enjoyed the movie thoroughly and the movie was exactly what she had imagined.

The first week collection of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 was 284.63 crore INR, followed by the movie minting 134.47 crore INR in the second week. The movie earned a net amount of 6.70 crore INR on the 15th day of its running in the theaters.Â

Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol, has become the fastest movie in India to cross the 450 crore INR mark within the first 17 days. Bahubali 2 took 20 days to cross the mark, whereas Pathaan took 18 days to cross that mark.

The special screening for the movie was done in London and Sunny Deol attended it with the utmost excitement.

A special screening of Gadar 2 was hosted by the team at the New Parliament House located in New Delhi. The movie was hosted for the members of the Lok Sabha. The first show of Gadar 2 was conducted at 11 am. This arrangement will continue for the next 3 days. Each day, there will be 5 shows that will be conducted for the members of the New Parliament building.Â
This is the first time that a show will be screened for the members of the Lok Sabha. A trade analyst has professed that Gadar 2 will challenge Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Pathaan in terms of their box office collection.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion received a box office collection of 510.99 crore INR with Pathaan’s box office collection being 543.05 crore INR.
As the movie received a total net amount of 400 crore INR, Sunny Deol had taken to Instagram to share a video of him expressing his utmost gratitude to the fans. He had dedicated the box office collection to his fans who have all liked the film.
