The investigation into the murder is concentrating on determining if an insider was the mastermind behind the crime.
In the posh Civil Lines area of New Delhi, a 77-year-old builder was found brutally killed inside his home. Ram Kishore Agarwal, the director of Jupiter Builders, was the victim.
The murder occurred less than a kilometre from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home, causing alarm in the neighbourhood. On CCTV evidence, police have apprehended the suspect who allegedly robbed and murdered Mr. Agarwal on May 1st, 2022.
The accused fled the scene after committing the crime by jumping off a high wall and fleeing on a motorcycle. One of the accused was seen carrying a bag on his back, which police believe contained the stolen valuables from the house.
On Sunday at 6:52 am, police received a PCR call from the deceased’s son, who said his father’s neck had been cut after he discovered him lying in a pool of blood with at least four knife injuries on his body.
He also said that some cash-filled cardboard boxes had gone missing from the room. The exact amount of cash stolen from the property, however, has yet to be determined. The victim was transported to the Sushrut Trauma Centre in Civil Lines, but doctors declared him dead.
A preliminary police investigation indicated that the building’s security guard told officers on Sunday morning that he had spotted two people fleeing the scene. An investigation has begun against unidentified individuals under sections 302, 397, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
A forensic team was also enlisted to collect evidence from the crime scene, and eight police teams from across the district were formed to apprehend the culprits as soon as possible.
Police have scanned the CCTV footage from a nearby area and are working to apprehend the two suspects in order to solve the case. The guard’s description of the two is being investigated by police.
The investigation into the murder is concentrating on determining if an insider was the mastermind behind the crime. An officer said that the criminals appeared to have a clear idea of what they planned to take.
This points to the involvement of an insider. The cops believe that culprits did not go to another room other than the one where the money was held. The probe is still ongoing.
