A chemical plant was hit as fighting rages in Severo Donetsk.
Russian shelling has caused a huge fire at a chemical plant in Ukraine’s Severo Donetsk city where ‘’non-stop ‘’ fighting rages, the regional head says.
on Saturday, a dangerous fire started emerging after a leak of Tonnes of oil from damaged radiators at the Azot plant. Hundreds of civilians are sheltering at the plant according to the reports, earlier Russia tried to capture Kyiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions but now instead of that Russia is moving towards seizing Severo Donetsk.
The Russian military says that all Severo Donetsk’s residential areas are now under its control. On Saturday Mr Haidai said on Ukrainian tv that “The Azot chemical plant has been under heavy shelling for hours”. The officials of Ukraine estimated that as many as 800 civilians are hiding under the plant.
The president of Ukraine released his statement and said that Russian troops have suffered “very significant” causalities in Donbas. He further said the Ukrainian forces had captured villages and towns in the southern-eastern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya.
Despite of Russian invasion, the Ukraine soldiers are fighting back and they are not giving any chance to hurt them. Artillery strikes have also been used; Russian president Vladimir Putin has said he considers any delivery of long-range weapons by the western countries to be a deliberated attempt to prolong the conflict. Another Russian army general was killed by the Ukrainian army in the Donbas region and these deaths are rarely officially acknowledged in Russia.
