Tamil Thespian Kamal Hasan’s latest movie ‘Vikram’ which was hit at the multiplex and box office has also broken all records on the streaming platform. One of the recently populated streaming platforms Disney plus Hotstar began the streaming of this theatre blockbuster.
This film was made available in multiple languages including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu. Hotstar started streaming Kamal Hasan starrer last week and it has been watched more times than any other film in its opening weekend. It has recorded maximum viewership in its opening weekend on Hotstar.

Starring the stalwarts like Vijay Sethupathi and the legendary Kamal Hassan ‘Vikram’ has broken all the records at the box office by surpassing films such as ‘Bahubali 2- The Conclusion’. It is the biggest ever commercial hit of Kamal Hasan’s career. This movie created a buzz all over the country by raking in more than Rs 300 crore. Film’s worldwide collection is more than 400 crores.
Vikram also broke the collection record of Bahubali: The Conclusion, which was unbeaten for five years at the Tamil Nadu box office. Baahubali 2 had earned over 150 crores in the state of Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, Vikram managed to bag in 170 crores to their treasure within four weeks of its release.
Vikram is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The action drama follows the war waged by a former spy on the drug mafia in Tamil Nadu. This film is a spin-off on the spy character that was first created by Kamal Hasan for his 1986 action film Vikram.
This film is an all-star supporting cast featuring Vijay Sethupati and Fahadh Faasil. The highlight of this movie was Supriya’s last-minute cameo at the mafia boss, Rolex.
According to many reports, writer and director Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to expand the sphere of Vikram with more films featuring solo actors.
