China prohibits Taiwan’s imports: China is punishing Taiwan for allowing Nancy Pelosi’s visit and undermining Chinese sovereignty.
China announced harsh measures against groups pushing for Taiwan’s independence on Wednesday, outlawed the import of some Taiwanese food items, and halted the export of natural sand.
Nancy Pelosi, the speaker of the US House, visited Taipei, becoming the first top American official to visit the nation first time in 25 years, and China was furious about it.
Pelosi’s tour is being widely watched all across the world, but especially in China, where Weibo briefly collapsed as millions talked and disputed her journey to Asia.

The importation of some citrus fruits and fish from Taiwan will be stopped, according to China’s Customs Administration, due to the alleged “repeated” discovery of excessive pesticides and positive coronavirus tests on shipments.
The mainland will forbid mainland organisations, businesses, or people from engaging in any kind of business or collaboration involving SkyEyes GPS Technology, Speedtech Energy, Hyweb Technology, Skyla, and other companies that have made financial contributions to the foundations. Heads of pertinent businesses will not be allowed to enter the mainland.
The above-mentioned foundations have been sanctioned by the mainland and are no longer permitted to work with mainland organisations, businesses, or people.
Additionally, the mainland will take additional required actions, including punishing organisations, businesses, or people that donate money or provide services to foundations, in compliance with the law.
This is not the first time Beijing has targeted the exports of Taiwan.
China halted the import of pineapples from the island in March 2021, citing the discovery of bugs in a move that was mainly viewed as politically driven.
China charges the US with breaking Beijing’s “One China” policy, which sees Taiwan as a portion of the Chinese mainland, by permitting the 82-year-old senior Democratic to travel to Taipei.
The disciplinary measures against organisations linked to ardent elements were declared by the Taiwan Relations Office of the State Council, a Chinese official entity in charge of Taiwan affairs.
The US House Speaker made the observation that the reason for the outrage was not her party affiliation but rather her gender.
She mentioned that the chairman of the committee on foreign relations and several other US senators had visited the autonomous island.
“They made a big fuss because I’m the speaker, I guess. I don’t know if that was a reason or an excuse. Because they didn’t say anything when the men came,” said the speaker of the White House.
