Across the world, fans have been going crazy about A.R. Rahman’s concert in Chennai. A.R. Rehman, who is an Oscar-winning musician, had an unfortunate turn of events during his concert, which turned it into a nightmare for his fans.
Several fans had taken to Twitter to complain about the concert at Chennai. Manobala, who is a film trade analyst, had mentioned in a tweet that he was disappointed as one of the A.R. Rahman fans tore the Marakkuma Nenjam tickets from the concert. He had also mentioned that that was an unforgettable event and it was the worst gift that the musician had given to his fans.
The fans had slammed the organizers and the musician against the volume of the music being barely audible to many of the attendees. The overcrowding had also created problematic situations for many. Many had even taken to social media to speak about how they were not granted access even though they had the tickets.
The famous composer had taken to X to confront his fans and asked them to share a copy of their tickets and their grievances on the handle [email protected]. He would make sure that his team got in contact with them as soon as possible to address his fans’ issues.
Stampede-Like Situation Occurred at The Marakuma Nenjam Concert of A.R. Rahman
The Marakuma Nenjam concert was held in the Adityaram Palace City, located on East Coast Road in Chennai. The concert was held by the famous music composer on Sunday evening. The experiences of the fans had become known to the public as they expressed their anger on X regarding the mismanagement of the entire concert.
One of the users who had attended the concert of A.R. Rahman had written that it was very badly organized. The entire ordeal was a waste of money and energy. The fan had also felt a sense of betrayal since he felt so very stressed due to the many fights that occurred there. In fact, there was no sound most of the time from the music.
Another fan who had visited had mentioned that he had paid 15,000 INR to attend the Marakuma Nenjam concert and he had almost died in the stampede that was occurring there. It seemed to him that people were overflowing from almost every corner of the place with no chairs kept for anyone.
The fan had greatly declared that he was never going to attend any of A.R. Rahman’s concert. The third fan took to X and had written that the Marakuma Nenjam concert was the most bizarre experience for him where it felt like it was the worst concert that he had attended.Â
The VIP zone tickets were priced at 25,000 INR and 50,000 INR with no presence of security. Every zone had 1 security personnel and the organizers oversold the tickets with the seats being off-center.
The VIP area did not have any stage view as well and no bouncers were present to handle the area. With the demarcations for entry and exit missing, everyone was entering from every which way. The stampede wasn’t managed by anyone.
With the men being sent out without a cause, the A.R. Rahman fans who had attended the Marakuma Nenjam concert became even further angry as no one was available to manage the ticket booths of the area.
Thousands of tickets were oversold to the public and there was nothing that anyone could do during the time that they were asked not to come into the concert area.
