Only a handful of people have the courage to do what they want anyhow of their age. The popular expression as quoted said ‘ age is just a number ’, still proves itself in a moment’s time. Aditya Raj Kapoor is one of those people .
Aditya is the son of the late evergreen Bollywood actor Shammi Kapoor and late Bollywood actress Geeta Bali. He completed his studies at the age of 67. Aditya is a former businessman, part- time actor and also a full time biker.
He started studying at age 61
He studied Philosophy for his Honors degree via correspondence from the Indira Gandhi National Open University ( IGNOU). While talking to a media source Aditya claimed that he had been given multiple openings to study but he in no way took advantage of it. According to him, he had realized his error. He endured an emptiness within himself which is when he started to value his education. This epiphany brought him to study Philosophy.
While asked about his choice of subject, Kapoor had said that he’d started studying at the age of 61, which necessitated in taking entrance examinations and making a commitment. He didn’t find a Commerce or a Business course to be necessary. He didn’t want to study Geography either. In his struggle to stay round over the times the studies of man intrigued him. He used to think about the reason behind a man’s thinking process. What motivates the man to start thinking. All of these studies and his spiritual awakening lead him to study Philosophy.
Kapoor credits his daughter for pushing him to study
While conversing with a media source Aditya bared that his daughter, Tulsi saw him as a retired man who had abundant time on his hands which is why she encouraged him to complete his education. He had said that she took him to a xerox shop where he started filling up forms for sodalities. Aditya also said that while he was going through IGNOU’s website their methodology of tutoring suited him. The university had delivered all the books to his home. The examinations were also conducted at a nearby local college.
He’d also feared to participate in many examinations due to the fear of Covid, but his wife motivated him by creating an ideal environment around him. He’d vocalized that he received his results two weeks ago where he passed with 59.67%. He graduated with a Honors Degree in Philosophy in the second class order. Kapoor also praised his university who had a person in charge in Goa, who was quick to respond to his queries.
While hearing about Aditya Kapoor’s rearmost achievement his family was rapturous. He exclaimed that his family were amazed that he didn’t give up on his education. He also decided to continue to study Philosophy for his Masters degree also. He said that he wanted to make his mother proud of him. His Guru, Bhole Baba had an enormous impact on him. He anticipated Kapoor to change. He concluded by saying that this is him now.
