ADNAN SYED NOT GUILTY, BUT AN INNOCENT MAN

SYED CAN NOW LIVE AS A FREE MAN CONFIRMS US JUDGE

After 23 years of struggle and patience, Adnan Syed a US Resident can now live as a free man. He was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee. The case prosecutors decided to drop all the charges against him after ADVANCED DNA TESTING was conducted to identify Syed’s Involvement. This case came into the limelight in 1999 as a true crime podcast series that can be closed now. Therefore, he is free and no charges can be made against him.

ADNAN SYED’S LAWYER ISSUES A STATEMENT

His lawyer, Erica Suter, stated “Finally, Adnan Syed can live as a free man, Adnan is innocent and lost 23 years of his life serving time for a crime he did not commit.”

The Baltimore state attorney Marilyn Mosby announced that all the charges again Adnan Syed have been dropped and further no charge can be made against him. She mentioned that this decision was made after the advanced DNA testing results came out. But what was different in this test?

Mosby stated that the items they tested had never been tested before, and advanced DNA was conducted to determine that it was not Adnan Syed, she added, Prosecutors will continue to investigate Lee’s death and prosecute whoever is responsible. As for Syed, this case is over.

The State attorney also mentioned that even though her administration wasn’t responsible for the pain and suffering the Lee family has suffered or the wrongful conviction of Syed, she said “as a representative of this institution, it is my responsibility to acknowledge and apologize to the family of Hae min Lee and Adnan Syed.”

Hae Min lee was found dead in 1999 in a forest, and three weeks before she was found missing. Lee was Syed’s ex-girlfriend and a classmate. At that time, Adnan was 17 years old and a charge of murder was made against him. After a year, the jury found ‘the scorned lover’ guilty of first-degree murder, also he was charged with murder, robbery, kidnapping and false imprisonment. Despite proving his innocence multiple times, he was sentenced to life in prison.

Although Adnan Syed hasn’t made any Statement yet, his prosecutor Erica Suter shared this wonderful news via Zoom call, addressing the reporters she said “Today’s the day that Adnan Syed and his loved ones have been waiting for 23 long years,” The results of the DNA testing excluded Adnan and confirm what Adnan and his supporters have always known: that Adnan Syed is innocent. The state of Maryland has dropped the charges. Adnan Syed is free.”
