Amidst rumors about the retirement of its beloved ‘Maharaja’ mascot, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson has reassured stakeholders that the cherished symbol will persist, adapting seamlessly to coexist with the airline’s new logo, ‘The Vista’. This emblem encapsulates the limitless potential and forward-looking spirit of a transformed India, firmly establishing the airline’s vision for the future.
The transformation has been a result of meticulous planning and dedicated efforts driven by the Tata Group over a span of 15 months. The unveiling of ‘The Vista” logo serves as a testament to the collective vision of the group and Air India’s joint pursuit of excellence. The Vista logo takes inspiration from the peak of a golden window frame, embodying the idea of limitless horizons and endless possibilities. This fresh branding will be visible to travelers as the first Airbus A350 enters the fleet by the end of this year. The airline’s new livery combines deep red, aubergine, and gold accents, reflecting a blend of traditional Indian motifs and contemporary design.

This substantial deal includes a diverse range of aircraft models, including A350-1000, A350-900, Boeing 787 Dreamliners, Boeing 777X widebody aircraft, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A321neo, and Boeing 737 MAX narrowbody aircraft.
Air India has welcomed more than 5,000 new personnel to its ranks, comprising approximately 3,200 cabin crew members and nearly 1,000 cockpit crew members.
In addition to logo and livery changes, Air India’s transformation roadmap encompasses several strategic initiatives. This includes the enhancement of the website and mobile app for improved user experiences, as well as the establishment of new lounges at Delhi and New York JFK airports to enhance passenger comfort.
