Now once again Akshay Kumar is all set to star in an upcoming biopic about the Real-Life Hero of the Late Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill produced by Pooja Entertainment.
The Heroic Tale Of Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill
In 1989, Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill (Born on November 22, 1939, at Sathiala in Amritsar) was a mining engineer who rescued the lives of 65 workers, who were trapped in a flooded coal mine under very dangerous circumstances in Rajniganj, West Bengal.
The rescue mission led by Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill lasted for six long hours and was titled India’s First Coal Mine Rescue Mission (Date-November 16).
The Brave Warrior left for his heavenly abode on November 26, 2019. Akshay Kumar teased the first look from the biopic, showcasing him in a turban-clad Sardar look, while the crew was shooting in London. Meanwhile, the Title of the movie is not yet disclosed.

November 16, 2022, marked the 33rd year of India’s First Coal Mine Rescue Mission.
On the occasion, Pralhad Joshi – UNION MINISTER of Coal and Mines took to Twitter to remember the Late Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill by tweeting his picture and paying his respect for the former’s Act Of Bravery.
He also tweeted feeling proud of the Coal Warriors who battle every day against all odds to ensure India’s energy security.

Akshay Kumar replied to Pralhad Joshi’s tweet and expressed his gratitude to him for recalling this Historical Mission by calling it a story like No Other! The Actor also felt grateful for receiving an esteemed opportunity to portray the Iconic Character.
The Movie’s Producer, Pooja Entertainment Head Vashu Bhagnani also, tweeted on the same. In his tweet remembered the Late Hero Sardar Jaswant Singh Gill and his fearless act in rescuing the trapped coal miners. Vashu Bhagnani also called it an Honour and Privilege to showcase the Heroic Mission in his next film.
