Actor Amit Sadh talked Sushant’s death during a podcast with Chetan Bhagat, said that even thoughts of suicide used to come to mind
Actor Amit Sath, during a podcast with Chetan Bhagat, revealed that he and sushant were good friends and he wanted to quit Bollywood after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and sometimes even suicide thoughts used to come to his mind.
SSR and Amit Sadh made their Bollywood debut from same film
SSR and Amit Sadh had made their debut in the film “Kai Po Che”. He worked with Sushant Singh Rajput in the film “Kai Po Che” for a year and a half during which both of them became very good friends and he was very heart broken after hearing the news of SSR’s death in 2020.
Amit Sadh said ‘I knew Sushant’s psyche’
Amit Sadh also said during the podcast; “I knew Sushant’s psyche. If someone dies by suicide, it means that he has kept some aspects of his life hidden, when this happens it is not that person’s fault. It belongs to the society. The people who were around him, could not recognize that serious matter. The man became so disheartened that he killed himself.”
When Amit Sadh was asked by Chetan Bhagat why he decided to leave the industry, Amit Sadh said, “I was upset after hearing the news of Sushant’s suicide, it is very difficult to work in this industry.” He also said, “Sushant’s death is a very big thing for me and will remain so, this thing will never be old for me.”
Smriti Irani helped during difficult phase of life
Actor Amit also revealed that Smriti Irani supported him a lot in those difficult times, he said, “I don’t know how she came to know that I am in trouble, one day I got a random call from her, she is like a sister to me.
As I believe, we talked on the phone for 6 hours that day. I told her that I do not want to work in this industry, I want to leave everything and go live in the mountains.” He said that Smriti Irani used to call him often to inquire about his condition.
Sushant Singh Rajput had committed suicide in 2020 and was found dead at his home, the CBI got the responsibility of investigating the case, although no closure report has been filed in this case yet.
After the death of SSR, there was a lot of uproar between the people and his fans, and the names of many famous Bollywood industry people were also linked to Sushant’s death.
Amit Sadh also talked about his past life during the podcast
During the podcast, Amit Sadh said that he belongs to a very poor family and how hard he has worked to reach where he is today. He said that he used to work as a watchman in Benetton‘s showroom in South Extension, New Delhi where he used to get a salary of Rs.900.
When Chetan Bhagat asked him where he lived at that time, he said that “He lived in dilapidated buildings of Jor Bagh, Lodhi Garden Community Center. He said that to live there you had to pay 25 rupees to the policemen every week, many times the policeman used to drive us away from there.
There were no beds, it used to function as a community center during the day, but at night the place used to be empty, so all the Rickshaw walas and security guards everyone used to sleep there together.
He said that later he got a job as a salesman in the Nike Showroom of Cannaught Place, which at that time was India’s largest Nike Showroom in India.
He further said that it is because of his honesty that he is here today, otherwise who knows what will happen when.
