The court said that it was necessary to send the accused to custody for interrogation before the CBI told that many influential people including the Deputy Chief Minister are involved in this scam.
Even such custodial interrogation is necessary, on behalf of the second accused, senior advocate Rebecca John said that his client cooperated in the investigation.
Therefore, there is no need to send him to custody, or investigate the matter directly, the official said that some data from Nair’s mobile phone has been recovered from Nair. However, the official said that the accused had deleted some data.

A special court on Wednesday granted bail to AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, arrested for alleged irregularities in the appointments in the wakf board.
The anti-corruption branch (ACB) arrested the MLA on September 16. Special Judge Vikas Dhul, Rauz Avenue, granted bail on Wednesday on the condition of depositing a personal bond of ₹ 100000 and surety of the same amount.
The court had on Tuesday reserved its decision after hearing both sides. Earlier, senior advocate Rahul Mehra, appearing for Khan, told the court that he had not found any concrete evidence against the trial.
While the board took the decision collectively, Amanatullah Khan has been made the sole accused in the case. ACB had opposed Khan’s bail plea. Ladan, another accused in the case, was sent to the custody of ACB 2 days ago.
Ladan was produced in the court on a production warrant and he was in judicial custody in another case registered in Jamia Nagar.
