The Directorate General of Foreign Trade, (DGFT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has notified some amendments to the current Foreign Trade Policy. The amendment allows international trade payments, invoicing, and settlements for imports and exports in Indian Rupee.  Recently RBI allowed authorised all the banks in India to open Special Rupee Vostro accounts. The settlements of trade transactions in rupee may also take place through the special account opened by the authorised banks in India. The 41 years old Swiss tennis player Roger Federer has announced his retirement from grand slams and ATP tournaments following the Laver Cup, London 2022. The tennis legend has announced his retirement through a note on Twitter thanking the fans, competitors and family. The 20-time grand slam champion has played over 1,500 matches over 24 years. The decades-long struggle will pay off once the bill is passed in both houses and gets the president’s accent. Recently Union Cabinet under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the inclusion of four tribal communities of Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh to the ST list. To establish world-class facilities in forestry education, the Telangana Government has decided to upgrade the Forest College Research Institute (FCRI) into the University of Forestry (UoF).  Both Telangana Legislative Assembly and Telangana Legislative Council approved ‘The University of Forestry Telangana Bill 2022’ here on Tuesday.
