A Whale in France dies during a rescue operation.
After being stranded on the Seine River for several days, a Beluga Whale died during a rescue mission at the end of the week. For more than 100 kilometers on land, it was trapped in a trap. This resulted in the whale suffering deterioration of its health as it refused to eat anything since it had been caught and had difficulty breathing as a result.
There was a 13 feet Beluga Whale spotted heading towards Paris almost a week ago. After that, the boat was seen stranded at the mouth of the river at Saint Pierre La Garenne in Normandy, which is 80 miles inland from the channel. Moreover, it was decided by the vets to rescue the whale and transport it to a refrigerated truck where it would be transported to the sea and released back into the sea. The mission, however, was conducted under the care and observation of 14 veterinary doctors throughout the entire time.

A Sea Shepherd France Conservation Group took to its Twitter to mourn the loss of the whale during its rescue operation. The tweet was in french and translates, “It is with heavy hearts we announce that the beluga did not survive.”
